Hi Subscriber First Name! Welp. I almost made it three years without getting the ol’ Rona. It was like a point of pride that I was one of the last people standing and then Karma was like, lol, jokes on you, here’s a dose that will FEEL like Strep Throat but not treatable with antibiotics. ::insert sobbing emoji here:: Thankfully, the house has recovered and we are all on the mend. I tell you that because I had always had it in my mind that if I ever DID get C*VID and I had to stay at home, I would try and use as much of that time to read as I could. Like, the moment I knew I was positive, I grabbed a stack of Category Romances, my reading journal, and some snacks and set myself up in our basement to begin my quarantine. I was Ready. I was Smug. LOL, AND NOT A SINGLE PAGE WAS READ. I had absolutely ZERO focus and ended up watching a billion hours of TV instead. I watched: Season 10 of the Great British Bake-Off Season One of Lost Three movies (My Cousin Vinny, Glass Onion, and Into the Spiderverse) 492742947 episodes of Matlock
I’ve learned my lesson and shall never judge anyone for how they quarantine ever again, lol. Have you had the unfortunate luck to get C*VID? Did you read while recovering?
