Hi Subscriber First Name! HOW HAVE YOU BEEN?! WHAT HAS BEEN HAPPENING IN YOUR LIFE?!
I’ve missed y’all terribly.
Did I tell y’all that I was going back to school at the end of April? I don’t think I did, but welp, surprise! I went back to school in April, lol. Since it was only a certificate course from April to August, I thought, meh, I can do that class at night, plus my full time job, and home stuff, and read, and do this newsletter, NO PROBLEM.
Lol. No.
That class kicked my ass.
And I’m STILL in it! Even though the lecture parts are technically over, I have a two-part national exam to sit for at the end of September and October, so I’m still up to my eyeballs in textbooks and notes. It will be all worth it though once I pass these dang exams and I get to say that I’m OFFICIALLY a Certified Bookkeeper. Heh. I will have more on that later in the year of the why’s and all that, but just know that I’m SUPER excited about what’s coming. :) So, all that to say, that because my schedule was super hectic, these newsletters (and reading) took a backseat. I kept thinking I would send out a “this isn’t a goodbye…just a pause” type notification but it seemed almost like a self-important thing to do? And then I became self conscious about it and then Anxiety Brain took over and it was just like, yeah, no, I’ll just disappear. :/
Okay, enough about me. Let’s talk about what’s coming in September! Even though I haven’t been reading much these last few months, I’ve still be keeping track of new reads coming out and there are 15 books coming this month that I’m super excited about! Romance, cozies, and a lil’ historical fiction to keep you on your toes. :) We’re getting close to Spooky Season so there are already some Witches, Haunted Houses, Ghosts, and Murder in this month’s picks…and of course, plenty of Romance with Formula 1 Drivers, Book Clubs, Sex Lessons, and some Late Night Stake Outs waiting for us. All of the cozy mysteries listed below are also first in a new series, so you can be there right from the beginning. I’m SUPER excited about Foul Play in the Foliage as they are a new-to-me author and the story kinda sounds like Stars Hollow meets Cabot Cove?! I’ve already got it pre-ordered and can’t wait to find out. :) What are you planning to read this September?
