How are you?? No really, how ARE you??

I admit that it took me a while to figure out what to write for this month’s intro. With everything going on in the US right now, I didn’t want this letter to be another source in your life delivering/resharing more bad news, but at the same time, it feels wrong to pretend nothing is happening, you know?

So I will say this…I think community is what’s going to get us through this. Here, online in the spaces we’ve created, and in our day-to-day lives. Connecting, sharing, and being with one another is going to be vital. Please know that my inbox and DMs are always open if you need someone to talk to.

And I also think we need to make sure we’re taking breaks and protecting our peace when needed. To make time and space for the things that bring us joy and fill our cups. For me, that’s journaling and sharing planners and books online. :) What brings you joy right now?

So, speaking of joy, let’s talk FEBRUARY’S NEW RELEASES! 

Doing this a bit differently this month in terms of book recommendations. Normally, I like to give a little info about each book and a blurb about why I’m excited to read it, however, Squarespace, the platform I use to send these newsletters, limits the length of newsletter I can create. I literally couldn’t add every book AND talk about them. ::deep frown emoji::, so instead of making cuts to the book choices themselves, I decided to cut out my rambles, lol. I hope that’s okay! I also decided to divide them up into genres - Romance and then Cozy Mysteries, in case you like one but not the other. For February, I’ve got 12 romances for you and six new cozies! I hope you find something you like!

The first month of my Romance University Challenge was a success! I read The Secret by Julie Garwood and when I tell you it was a ride, lol. I posted about it over on Instagram, if you’d like to read my thoughts about it.

As for this month, y’all, I’m STOKED to start Brenda Jackson’s Westmoreland series from the beginning! I’ve read two books from this series, but they were newer, later installments, out of 31 books and a spin-off series!

I mean, sure, you don’t need to read all of these in order to gather what’s going on, but there is so much history in this family and I’m excited to meet every one “officially”.
